The Sorrento Coast is one of the most interesting tourist resorts, also thanks to its privileged
position which allows people to visit the numerous world-famous locations in a short time.
The nearest beach is that of Meta which is only a five-minute walk away.
From Meta it is easy to reach the centre of Sorrento, which is only four kilometres away, by car, bus or train.
The public transport system makes going on excursions easy. The local train of the
‘Circumvesuviana’ is fast and stops at Pompeii, Herculaneum, Oplonti, Mount Vesuvius and Naples. If you prefer, you can travel to Naples by hovercraft from the port of Sorrento, which takes
only 40 minutes.
You can also travel easily from Sorrento to Capri and Ischia by hovercraft.
By bus you can reach the most beautiful locations of the Amalfi coast: Positano, Amalfi and
Ravello.
